The Real 'Rock' Man

A commission for a coworker who seems to have a fascination with seeing video game heroes in incorrect historical settings. This was his first request, a prehistoric MegaMan.

For the most part, this design was pretty easy, except of course for the buster. In a bizarre decision, I opted to make his arm some kind of weird volcano type thing. For some reason, it seemed right.

I imagine the story to go something like this. Light is a particularly bright cave dweller attempting to construct a son using rocks, mud, and animal bones. His creation lays lifeless, until he happens upon a mysterious rock that fell from the heavens. Light uses this impressive stone as his creation's heart, which miraculously animates the boy!

Of course, when similar stones begin animating other bodies for malevolent purposes, young Rock must head into battle!
