Description
Spritework for a 16-bit update of the Famicom Disk System game Nazo No Murasamejou, Mystery of Murasame Castle. For whatever reason, its one of the few Nintendo games not to make it overseas during the 8-bit era, and it never saw a sequel of any sort. Much like Kid Icarus, I imagine a SNES sequel would have been awesome, so I decided to whip up some sprites!
Takamaru is the hero of the game, a samurai fighting to rid four castles of some weird alien force or something. Because they original game looked very similar to the NES Legend of Zelda, I figured a 16-bit version should resemble Link to the Past. Looking at it now, it looks a bit more like Secret of Mana, doesn't it?
