My Favorite Part of MegaMan 7by ~jmatchead

Wanted to update with something quick, and figured I hadn't drawn any directly MegaMan related stuff ("Rock" Man didn't count) lately.

I really liked the whole Blues subquest in MegaMan 7, which has always been one of my favorite games in the series. I know that's an unpopular opinion, but I don't really care. Anyway, fighting Blues to get his shield struck me as being totally kick ass. I've been doodling Rock with that awesome shield for years, but never really made a full on awesome drawing of it.

On an unrelated note, I was thinking of continuing the stone age Rock Man redesigns with prehistoric versions of the MM1 bosses. Is that something people would like to see? Let me know!

At least you could slide with the shield. I like how MegaMan is just kind of offhandedly shooting at something out of frame, like he's Mega Batman or something. The subtle lighting effects are a nice touch, too.

I'd like Mega Man 7 a lot more if they went back and changed all of the sound effects. It was like Mega Man X got all the good sounds, and 7 got the leftovers.

I think he's kinda charging up his buster, even though that's not really how the charge effect ever looks.

I never really noticed any problem with the sound effects. I guess they're a little weird, thinking about it, but it never actually bothered me.

Well.. the shield is rarely useful, but it's still cool to know that it's Proto's shield that we are using XD

It's a bit like some of the X series upgrades, not amazing but a nice passive effect just in case. Once I get it, it pretty much replaces the MegaBuster for my "natural" weapon.
