Mighty No. 5 is ready for action by jmatchead Mighty No. 5 is ready for action by jmatchead
Continued sprite based fan art for Inafune's Mighty No. 9! This time, the mobile armory Mighty No. 5!

I really love this design. It's very classic MegaMan, but still just enough wacky MegaMan Zero action.

More Mighty No. 9 stuff to come most likely.

Let's make that console version happen!

What fantastic work. I particularly like MN5's colours in this one.

I would be interested if you have more sprite sheets or sprite animations of the Mighty No. ladies or megaman ladies - in particulary MN3 or Layer. I would be interested in checking them out for a future hobby game on the side :) (after finishing my mini megaman zero guardian game)

Here he is in action. He looks kind of funny walking around with no walking animation. :P

Oh my gosh yes!

His eyes are so cool here, and it's nice seeing him idle. Love this!!

As soon as I saw the art for No. 5, I had this completely formulated in my head, starting with those eyes! They just scream old school Megaman.

Neat!

Though he does remind me a lot of Needle Man....

Really? Like, the sprite, or the character in general? I guess the missile pods do look kinda like needles.

I just look at him, and I see Needle man. And the character is created by the guy who came up with the Blue Bomber, right?

Yeah, Keiji Inafune is the big  man behind Mighty No. 9, but there are tons of designers from Comcept and Inticreates contributing to the design process.

Oooohhhhhh. I do have a good excuse for being out of the loop: I was busy with school all summer.

Hahahaha sounds stressful! I barely even was aware of what was going on, just because I don't usually check out Kickstarter too often.

In some ways yes and in some ways no. It was an awesome learning experience.

I like your sprite better than the official artwork for this guy.

Thanks! He does look pretty strange, but I like the idea of sticking legs and a head on a gun turret.

I love that basic idea too, but there are just some beefs I have with certain proportions and the chaotic silhouette.

Well, that didn't look like official finalized art anyway, so maybe the final look will be a little less hectic.
