Yea, no pun this time around. Just a demake of SWERY's awesome Deadly Premonition, which I only just finished playing after owning for months.

Wanted this to look a bit like old horror/adventure titles, like the super famicom clock tower. The characters came out a bit more squat than I intended, but ultimately I like the way it turned out.

No joke, Deadly Premonition was my favorite game of 2009. I like how you managed to capture everyone's body language here.

I'm actually SO flattered that you noticed that, because I paid EXCRUCIATING attention to that very aspect. Thank you!

Deadly Premonition was definitely something I initially only appreciated as a novelty. Once I really got involved in the game, though... it's crazy, but it actually manages to get you invested. There's so much game to love beneath the surface there.

It's also probably the only game to attempt a gameplay mashup of Resident Evil and Legend of Zelda.

Don't get me wrong, Deadly Premonition has a ton of problems. But jeez, every aspect of it is dripping with charm. Like, every second of the game feels like it was put in by hand by a couple of guys who really loved and believed in what they were doing. It's a lot different from the typical design-by-committee trap that a lot of modern games fall into. Not to mention the balls-crazy storyline and the ridiculously large cast of instantly-memorable characters. I'd love to see it come to digital services like XBLA, PSN and Steam, since I don't have a 360 anymore.

Also, it got me into Twin Peaks.

I've heard SWERY wants to do some kind of rerelease, although who knows if that will ever happen.

Quite frankly, its one of the few 360 games I feel justify owning the console.

I agree, DP was most definitely a breath of fresh air. In a market so dominated by exhaustively focus-tested, mass market products, it's really refreshing to experience something so quirky.

Yeah Plus there is just a lot of stuff to do and to check out, and everyone in the town has their own rutines and stuff. it was pretty awesome.

Yeah, it reminded me of Majora's Mask a little bit. A whole lot of little quirks and freedom.
