Description
Very recently discovered two things. First of all, I still love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fact, I might love them even more now that I can appreciate the grit of the classic comics and sheer insanity of the turtle phenomena that followed. Secondly, I appear to have a deeply ingrained understanding of how to draw these guys, surely gained from a childhood spent CONSTANTLY exposed to them. Seriously, This was the first time I had drawn the turtles in a very long time, and it came weirdly naturally. I've been drawing them a great deal since, with surprisingly good results! Maybe I'll post some of the later pieces at some point.
A few notes. This isn't based on any one incarnation of the characters, and there are elements of various versions present. While the designs themselves are like a mix of the cartoon and film versions, their coloration seems to be based on the new Nickelodeon cartoon. This wasn't intentional or anything, but worth noting.

I like the pose you chose for the layout. It's impressive to see how you drew each turtle's face at a different angle and yet they all look great.
I remember you've done a few other TMNT pieces for your gallery, but I think this is your best one yet. I'd love to see a Turtles comic book adventure in your style.
